The Parish of Grouville provides a service to almost
5,000 parishioners and businesses across a varied scope of services, including
Parish Rates, Driving Licence applications, Liquor Licensing advice and Dog
licences. This year there is also a key
role to play in delivering the new style elections. We are looking for a motivated and competent
management professional to provide administrative, financial and technical
management of all services including the output of the administration and
manual teams. You will need strong financial acumen to account for the
delivery of Parish services and support the development of new services across
this dynamic Parish. The role involves the planning of Parish Assemblies,
overseeing budgets, regulatory reporting, and financial analysis. As the
head of the Parish team, you will also lead Parish initiatives including Public
Elections and community engagement together with managing the Parish Estate, reporting directly to the Connétable on all
issues. Applicants will ideally be an experienced
bookkeeper or higher, with a proven management record in leading successful
teams and ability in juggling multiple priorities and budget
responsibilities. As a service provider we require an excellent command
of verbal and written English, the adaptability to learn new processes, a
proficiency in office systems, including Quick Books and the ability to learn
other core applications. Above all you need an unflustered approach to
and exceptional flair for leadership, negotiation, teamwork and customer service. You will
need to acquire familiarity with Jersey Law as it applies to Parish administration.
