MONTROSE (www.montroseint.com) is an international development project management and consultancy company providing support to clients operating in the developing world. Specialised in the sectors of health, education, rural livelihoods and private sector development, our clients include bilateral and multilateral development agencies, the private sector, Non-Governmental Organisations and other development stakeholders.  Montrose designs and implements bespoke programmes for a range of clients across the Africa and the Asia-Pacific.    Montrose is seeking a full-time Project Officer based in our Jersey office to support the successful implementation of our ongoing projects, provide inputs and support to our technical work, as well as support the administration and business development functions. The successful candidate for this position will be eager to learn and grow with the company, demonstrate flexibility, creativity and initiative.   

Core Responsibilities:  
·         Support the project management team to manage cost-effective and high-quality project implementation 
·         Draft, review and proof-read technical and programme delivery reports
·         Support the project management team in contracting and managing consultants
·         Support the application of compliance requirements 
·         Manage the procurement of equipment and supplies, whilst ensuring best value for all procurement
·         Monitor and oversee travel and other logistical arrangements and procedures
·         Travel, when required, to Uganda, Myanmar and other project locations to undertake management oversight and project review and assessments
·         Co-ordinate various administrative processes in areas as diverse as human resources, compliance and insurance
·         Support business development activities including technical research and drafting components of proposals
·         Undertake desk research related to existing or new contracts and proposals  

Essential Skills and Qualifications  
•         Degree in relevant field with excellent qualifications
•         Excellent written and spoken English
•         Exceptional written and oral communication skills
•         Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
•         Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
•         Demonstrated problem solving skills, initiative and creative thinking
•         Strong time management skills
•         Interest in the field and eagerness to develop skills and experience in this sector – including willingness to travel
•         Second language, particularly Spanish or French, is an asset
•         Jersey-based
