The Senior Systems Technician Infrastructure & Cloud will work in a team of specialists with a focus on building, administering, supporting, and maintaining solutions.
The post holder will have responsibility for the management of on-premise and in the cloud infrastructure assets including, monitoring, backups, and server/hardware maintenance; ensuring that all IT infrastructure/cloud technologies and platforms are implemented and maintained professionally. 

You will Deliver, supervise, and participate in the implementation of IT strategy, technologies, and platforms supporting complex corporate data and voice infrastructure.

A critical element will be to Manage cloud and on-premises security, conduct risk assessments and provide remediation plans and ensure high availability of enterprise voice and data platforms that support internal employee business functions and external customer contact.

The appointee will troubleshoot and remediate resolver group issues impacting the operation of the corporate infrastructure.

They will serve as one of the primary points of contact for service providers and coordinate design, provisioning, installation and troubleshooting.

They will be responsible for planning, analysing, testing, and implementing new systems/interfaces to meet user requirements, compliant with procedures, and adherence to standards.

Of equal importance will be to Document the design, operation and troubleshooting of technology platforms and procedures and verify backups/disaster recovery/high availability with recovery.

By Managing the change control processes and remediation actions for infrastructure/cloud, you will ensure that it actively delivers resolution to encountered problems to prevent impact on business continuity, using subject matter expertise to contribute to service improvement.

You will ensure that infrastructure/cloud platforms are compliant with organisational agreed methodologies, procedures, and policies, and statutory requirements as part of organisational governance.

Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in a subject with a high degree of analytical or numerical content or demonstrate such a level of equivalent qualifications and experience.  ITIL Foundation Certificate would be highly desirable. 
Proven experience of working in a multi-disciplinary organisation within an IT Operations environment. Knowledge of planning, maintaining, and solving IT infrastructure within a complex architectural setting.
