With so many press conferences at E3, it can be hard sometimes not to compare them to one another, and the various line-ups they unveil.
Ubisoft has a knack of being up there when it comes to the best big-name returns as well as new franchises not seen before. 2016 was another one of those years, as they mixed the return of a smash hit with anticipated epics, familiar names in entertainment and some cool new franchises and ideas.
The smash hit of 2014 is back, on a much bigger scale as the technology that runs our world is turned against us.
This is just a very cool step into a world that hasn’t been approached in this way before. We’ve had the arcade fun of SSX Tricky, but this is open world and so very different.
Maybe this will appeal to the Game Of Thrones fans, looking for some blood, thunder and swords. For Honor stands alone though as a gorgeous looking game, set in a fascinating looking world.
The name itself is enough to make you chuckle and want to play it, but the last game from the South Park universe – Stick Of Truth – was brilliant in its own right. This has plenty of potential too.
Virtual reality. Star Trek. Nothing more really needs to be said.
The Tom Clancy franchise has never done open world on this scale. The Division tipped its toe in that area, but even that was limited to New York. This is far larger, grander and arguably more exciting.
