Star Wars fever has officially kicked in – the new movie is only weeks away, the trailers are everywhere, and Battlefront has landed on consoles.
But there’s more. The Disney Infinity gaming series already has a Star Wars universe, but now it’s unveiled a version based on The Force Awakens.
It’s once again a ‘toys-to-life’ game, meaning that there are physical toys to be combined with the actual game – placing them on special trigger pads drops that character into the gameplay.
It’s set to be the first game to offer playable versions of the new characters, among them heroes Rey and Finn, as well new villain Kylo Ren.
Interestingly the blurb for the game appears to offer an insight into Ren’s character, and even suggests he might not be the top dog when it comes to the Dark Side, referring to him as “an enforcer for the First Order”. The Order being the replacement for the Empire.
Disney also confirmed a release date of December 18 – a day after the new movie hits cinemas.
