A US woman allegedly kidnapped by her ex-boyfriend was discovered thanks to her mother’s iPhone tracking app, according to police.
Police say 18-year-old Joseph Boller, who met the woman at a pre-arranged meeting, bound her hands, feet and mouth with duct tape and forced her into the boot of a vehicle.
The woman’s mother notified state police after getting a text for help from her daughter.
Police in Pennsylvania say they then used the mother’s Find My iPhone app to track the alleged victim’s mobile phone to a McDonald’s about 150 miles west of her home.
Online court documents show Boller faces kidnapping and other charges. He is in custody and has a preliminary hearing on February 24.
