Technology is infiltrating almost every aspect of our lives today, and now it’s even reached the world of funerals.
The team at funeral plan provider PerfectChoiceFunerals.com have mocked up a concept of what the coffin of the future might look like.
As you can see, there’s an LED screen on top of the coffin showing a slideshow of memorable images of the deceased (yes, really). This is accompanied by a social media stream of tributes. So everyone who posted a message to Facebook will now see it scroll along the coffin.

Yes, this is still the same coffin. What you see now are the integrated speakers and LED lights that could also be built in to the casket. The speakers, it has been suggested, could be used to broadcast the eulogy, while the lights can display the deceased’s favourite colour.
It’s fair to say this would be unlike any funeral you’d ever been to before.
