It’s January which means our Facebook feeds are filled with generic posts about getting fitter and healthier this year. Though there was one that stood out a bit – from none other than its founder Mark Zuckerberg, who’s invited the whole of Facebook to join him in a mammoth 365 mile run.

In the post, he wrote: “I have a physical challenge for 2016. I’m going to run 365 miles and I’d love for as many people in this community to join me as possible.
“This is a lot of running, but it’s not a crazy amount. It’s a mile a day, and at a moderate pace it’s less than 10 minutes of running per day.”
He’s named the challenge A Year of Running (which is a follow-on from last year’s mass-reading challenge called A Year of Books) and has even created a public group, which currently has over 80,000 members, for everyone to post their running tips, plans and progress together.
What’s also interesting is that Zuckerberg appears to have been responding to most of the comments on his post.
If you’re feeling inspired, you can join the group here.
