The loveable BB-8 toy droid that was on everyone’s Christmas list now has an additional feature to just rolling around and being adorable – it will watch and react to the Star Wars: The Force Awakens film with you.
Producer Sphero has updated its BB-8 app with a Watch With Me feature. It uses your smartphone’s microphone to pick up audio from the film and will then react to certain cues.

Expect there to be manic rolling away to hide when Kylo Ren appears, lots of whooping when power couple Han Solo and Chewbacca appear, and a not-so-modest celebration when it spots itself on the screen.
So if you’re one of the lucky ones to own a little droid buddy AND some pets, then you might as well rule out human company forever.
