If you’re still playing Pokemon Go, well done. You’ve got a greater attention span than 50% of people who first downloaded the game, and you’re about to be rewarded by it.
The game’s developer Niantic has announced the Pokemon Go Plus wearable, first announced last year only to suffer a series of delays, will finally be released next week, September 16.
Starting from $35 (£26) the Plus wearable will make your Pokemon hunting pretty much seamless, by connecting to your phone via bluetooth and alerting you whenever you pass a Pokestop or a Pokemon is in your vicinity.
With just a press of a button on your wearable you catch the Pokemon, and can check later on what you’ve managed to bag.
The release comes at a good time for Niantic as people turn their attention towards Christmas and Pokemon Go users drop dramatically. Pokemon Go Plus could start its second wave.
