There’s not long left to wait until Star Wars: The Force Awakens is released in cinemas nationwide. But all this excitement inevitably means heaps of spoilers won’t be far behind. Those who can’t watch it within the first few days will try to tread the internet carefully in fear of ruining the experience for themselves.
Well, fear no more – we’ve found some handy tools you can use to help you get through the period of Star Wars mania and come out the other side with your friends still intact.
This Google Chrome extension scans web pages and blocks the ones it detects as containing potential Star Wars spoilers and terms. The black screen that pops up also presents you with a classic Star Wars quote, sure to raise a smile as well as prove who the real superfans are by being able to identify which film it’s from.
This tool is designed to make you conscious of your own tweeting, rather than others – face it, once you’ve seen it there’ll be a part of you dying to chat about it with others. Type your prospective message into the box and the database will cross out all the words (mainly the names of all the known major characters) it thinks might spoil the film for others. It even gives you a handy rating so you’ve no excuse.
This isn’t so much of a Star Wars *concern* but it will definitely add to your Star Wars street cred. Think your Facebook profile picture could do with jazzing up a little? Add a shiny lightsaber in front of your face to make you feel like an actual jedi.
