To celebrate World Emoji Day last Sunday, Twitter released a map of the globe showing each country’s most tweeted emoji.

The firm excluded the 10 most popular emojis in the world to ensure the map was more diverse, and this is what we ended up with.

As you can see from the map the UK, US and Canada are fed up. Mexico and India are either feeling blessed or hoping for some divine intervention, and South Korea and Japan are looking for love – or something.

South America seems to be enjoying some good music, Australia and Germany are just getting on with things, and Italy and France’s most tweeted emojis seem more than a little stereotypical.

Shout out to Spain, who right now are all about the gains, while South Africa appears to be in a good place. Turkey, despite recent events, seems to be finding a way through it with laughter, while the Philippines and Indonesia are either feeling a bit awkward or goofy.

Saudia Arabia could be either happy or sad. Your guess is as good as ours.
