There could only be one winner among the eight Tomb Raider fans who went head-to-head to withstand blasts of wind, rain, snow and heat as they perched on a live action billboard on London Bridge.
In a contemporary version of survival of the fittest, it was railway engineer Adam Carr who was the last man standing, staying on the Survival Billboard for an impressive 20 hours.
The people of Twitter – who’d been voting to decide which extreme weather element would hit the contestants next – were really happy for him.
So what do we know about super-human Adam?
He’s 28 years old and lives in Durham. His background is in mountain biking, Tough Mudder, biking and cross country.
He’d been preparing for the challenge by running and squatting and said he’d be making use of his ability to “disappear into my own head and distract myself in a difficult situation”.
He certainly had a few of them, and at the end he described the experience as “all painful”.
But it seems with pain there came pleasure as Adam struck up a bond with fellow contestant Eve Stott on the board next to him. Naturally, Twitter loved it.
We suggest they do something a little tamer the next time they see each other, though.
