Arguably one of the worst and best things to happen to us, DVD sets and Netflix allow us to burrow into the comfort of our couches only to turn into some sort of human mole hybrids hissing at texts and any natural light.
But just how long does that binge watching transformation take? Thanks to this handy website, tiii.me/, it’s only a few clicks away to find out how much time is spent watching a series straight through.
This is how it works – enter your favourite programme, then choose the number of series you’d like to consume. The site quickly calculates how much time you’ve wasted down to the minutes, hours and, frighteningly, days.
It gets worse. Once you’ve chosen your favourite show, you can then add in other box sets and the site will total the combined amount of time spent in front of the telly.
We tried it out ourselves. Starting out with all five seasons of Breaking Bad, we added the complete edition of Mad Men. Then we followed with ALL 31 seasons of EastEnders for a little nostalgia and a dash of The Wire to keep it edgy.
Total time wasted? 109 days, 14 hours and four minutes.
