A 25-year-old man will be sentenced next month after admitting a grave and criminal assault which left his victim unconscious.
Jobe Ashley Robert Le Jehan put in a guilty plea to the offence, which took place on 13 January, when he appeared in the Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
Sentencing was adjourned until 31 March to allow for a background report and he was released on bail.
Meanwhile, a 31-year-old man also appeared in court charged with making a threatening phone call to the victim of the assault, allegedly pressuring him to withdraw the complaint.
Michael Robert Connor was accused of attempting to pervert the course of justice.
He was bailed to appear in the Royal Court on 28 April.
