A new campervan rental service is calling on all camperfans in Jersey, as they launch what they’re touting as the ‘Air B&B’ of camper vans.
Just Kampers Hire, whose launch was assisted by local digital business Faction, say they hope the new service will help islanders explore their own surroundings as well as those outside of the island.
Owners can upload their campervans and accept bookings onto the site, which prospective holidaymakers can then apply to rent out.
The news comes as camper vans have recently been in the public eye, with the States Assembly looking to pilot a new permit system and selection of designated sites for the vehicles this month.

The pilot scheme will only be open to islanders with personal campervans or motorhomes which are registered with Driver and Vehicle Standards (DVS).
To stay overnight on these sites, islanders will have to book their stay on the same day via the Planning Department web site.
It also follows an increased emphasis on ‘staycations’ in the island earlier this year, when during the island's reopening after lockdown, hotels were allowed to at first open exclusively for the homebound holidays.

Just Kampers Hire said they had observed a significant increase in demand for vehicles across Britain, with online searches for campervan hire rising by over 60% in 2020 compared to 2019.
“...A campervan is a very covid-safe way to holiday, as the vehicles are all cleaned to extremely high standards before and after each rental, and you are in complete control of who and what goes in and out of the van," said Just Kampers co-founder Karl Moss, who is also a FeelUnique Director and Partner at Faction.
