A teenage boy has been arrested after a fight yesterday afternoon left another young man with "serious" head injuries requiring emergency treatment in Southampton.

Police said the fight between the two males - believed to know each other - took place in the area of Grand Vaux, St. Helier, between 14:00 and 15:00.

According to the Force, the fight is believed to have started on Grand Vaux Road outside Sutton Court and carried onto Whiteley Close, where a 17-year-old was seriously injured.
