Arrests after alleged Grouville fight

Two men in their 30s have been arrested after an alleged fight in Grouville.

The row was said to have happened at the entrance of Grouville Arsenal on La Rue a Don on Friday (31 July) around 21:30.

In an appeal for more information, Police reported: "Two men were seen arriving at Grouville Arsenal in a Jeep, a fight broke out with another man who was in the area and during this disturbance a car had liquid poured over it causing some damage.

"It’s believed all men were known to each other."

They added that a 33-year-old and a 38-year-old have since been arrested for affray. The older man was also arrested on suspicion of grave and criminal assault.

Both have since been released on police bail.

Police are now continuing their investigations and want to hear from individuals who may have seen what happened, including those in the "numerous" cars that passed the area at the time.
