Baudains out in St Clement

Wednesday 15 October 2014

There was a big casualty in St Clement as long-serving Deputy Gerard Baudains crashed out of the States.

Deputy Susie Pinel and Simon Bree took the two seats in the parish, dethroning Deputy Gerard Baudains who has served 13 years in the States in the district, and knocking Darius Pearce into a distant fourth spot.

Deputy-elect Bree will take the oath of office on Friday.

The turnout in the district was 29.08%, and there were 25 spoiled papers.
