Beaulieu teacher won't face criminal charges

Monday 23 November 2015

A teacher from Beaulieu Convent School is no longer being investigated by police on suspicion of committing an indecent assault but is still not back in the classroom.

The teacher – who is still suspended from work – was arrested in September but police have confirmed that the case has been dropped.

The school has issued the following statement: "Beaulieu are currently holding their own internal investigation in connection with this Teacher which we hope to finalise in the next week or so, the member of staff is aware of this and remains on suspension."

Beaulieu has more than 760 students from the ages of four to 18, and has been running since 1951.

The Catholic school has fees of £1,815 per term.
