Booster QR codes available from next week

Thursday 09 December 2021

Islanders will be able to get printed QR codes to evidence their covid booster jabs from next Wednesday.

A paper booster certificate will automatically be sent to all islanders who received their dose before 8 December.

Anyone who got a third covid jab after that date will be sent a certificate within two weeks.

The certificate should be able to be used as evidence in the EU, UK and other parts of the world. It should read ‘valid’ if scanned by the NHS Covid Pass Verifier app.

From Wednesday, the UK will be asking people to use covid passes to enter nightclubs and other venues where more than 400 people can gather.

Islanders should only call the covid helpline to get a booster QR code after Wednesday 15 December, as they are only available after this point.

The Government says it is still working on relaunching its online portal allowing islanders to download their own vaccine certificates and QR codes. It had to close down within hours of launching in October after a security flaw was found.

Ahead of the booster certificates being sent out, anyone who has moved home recently is advised to update their details online HERE or call 01534 444444 to do so.
