Boy left with "significant head injury" after e-scooter collision

A 12-year-old boy has been flown to Southampton Hospital after sustaining a "significant head injury" in a collision involving a car and an electric scooter yesterday.

Police are appealing for information regarding the incident which took place at around 11:00 on Saturday 22 June on La Route de St Aubin, near to Bay Stores.

In an appeal for information, police said that a black Peugeot car and an electric scooter collided.

The statement continued: "A 12-year-old boy suffered a significant head injury as a result of this collision.

"The child, and parents, were flown to Southampton Hospital yesterday, however, [he] is now in a stable condition.

"The 57-year-old female driver of the black Peugeot 3008 sustained no injuries in the collision and is assisting police with their enquiries."

Officers would like to speak with any witnesses, or anyone with dash cam footage of the collision.
