The 1980s was decade of big shoulder pads, big hair and big personalities....and now (for some reason!) Jersey Heritage is going to bring it all back.
They're looking for your favourite 80's movie recommendations as they plan a selection of film nights in conjunction with a new exhibition.
‘Bergerac’s Island – Jersey in the 1980s’ opens at the Jersey Museum and Art Gallery on 1 April.
The five most popular films that are suggested will be screened on Thursday nights between 11 May and 8 June in conjunction with the 80s exhibit at the Jersey museum.
The exhibition at the Jersey Museum will look at how the national and international events throughout the decade affected the lives ordinary people in Jersey and the events hosted by Jersey Heritage will help Islanders embrace the era.

Louise Downie, the Curator of the ‘Bergerac’s Island – Jersey in the 1980s’, said: “These events are an opportunity to explore some aspects of 80s life in a bit more depth – and hopefully more fun!”
Islanders inspired with movie recommendations can comment on the Heritage social media post or email Nicky at: [email protected] - to share their 80s movie ideas with her.
