Car hits wall head-on in St Martin

Two young people were taken to hospital after crashing a car head on into a wall in St Martin at the weekend.

The accident happened on Saturday evening just before 8 pm near The Royal pub on La Grande Route de Faldouet in St Martin.

Both the driver and passenger were able to get out of the car before paramedics and firefighters arrived to find the front of the vehicle badly damaged. Both the car’s airbags had blown up.

Paramedics looked after the pair at the scene before they were taken to hospital to be checked over.

The cause of the accident is still being investigated by Police.
