Cat burglar on the prowl again

Friday 02 September 2016

It's been reported to Police that a local cat burglar has been on the prowl again.

Fluke, a nine-year-old male, has got previous for stealing gardening gloves and socks but this Summer it's swimwear he's been after.

It could have been the puuurfect crime if he'd hidden the evidence but the mischievous moggie took the one piece off home where he was caught red pawed.

His owner said: "We got him from the JSPCA when he was six months old. He used to take gardening gloves and socks where we lived previously but hasn't done it in years. Until now of course. It turned out to be the neighbour's daughter's costume.

"But my mum saw him coming from a completely different direction than their garden. So guessing he took it on a journey first.

"He also is known to grab clothes and socks etc in their home and bring them to my parents and then howls to get their attention."

Police say the owner of the costume was tracked down via social media and now has her swimwear back where it belongs.
