Charity Chomp: How to make mini burgers with a big impact

Friday 26 May 2023

With another bank holiday upon us and a sunny-looking forecast, why not whip up these mini burgers for an outdoor BBQ?

This week's Charity Chomp was provided by Caring Cooks, who provide nutritious food to families across the island as well as hot meals and cooking education in schools.

The team said this "real family favourite" is quick and easy to put together and is delicious with homemade potato wedges and a side salad.

"Beef is a great source of protein, essential for building and maintaining muscle tissue," they said.

"By choosing lean beef you reduce the amount of saturated fat that is so often found in shop bought burgers. Remember, it is good to limit eating red meat to one or two times a week."

ALLERGY INFORMATION: Contains gluten, egg and dairy.
