Condor Liberation stuck in Guernsey

Monday 08 August 2016

A problem with the fuel system aboard the Condor Liberation means the ship is currently stuck in Guernsey.

The sailing from Poole was due in at 11:00 but because of the problems arrived almost an hour late at 11:49.

She was then due to sail on to Jersey and arrive in the Island at 12:30. That’s had to be cancelled

Passengers are being moved on to Clipper sailings. That’s due in at 19:20.

Condor Ferries are tweeting “Please be advised currently receiving high call volumes, waiting time is 6 minutes, further info on CF_travel_news@Condorferries.co.uk”.

Today’s problem is the latest in a series that has blighted the company – and in particular its multi-million pound flagship, Condor Liberation - this year.

The company’s recently appointed Chief Executive, former Guernsey Deputy Paul Luxon – says the past 12 months have been the company’s most difficult period ever. He’s vowed to improve the service.
