Construction company charged over scaffolding fall

Sunday 12 December 2021

A construction company has been accused in Jersey's Royal Court of incorrectly installing a scaffolding platform, leading a worker to fall 12m and suffer life-changing injuries.

CNR Construction has been charged with two breaches of the Health and Safety Law related to an incident at a site on Providence Street on 2 February 2021.

Representatives from the company appeared before the Royal Court via video link on Friday to answer a summons from the Attorney General.

The company was represented by Advocate Christina Hall.

They will next appear in court on 20 January.
