A 59-year-old man, charged with the murder of Ana Rebelo, will be facing a Royal Court trial in August.
Alfredo da Costa Rebelo is accused of having murdered Ana Maria Pereira De Sousa Rebelo on or around 3 April 2017. He is pleading not guilty.
Ms Rebelo, a much-loved member of the Portuguese community, was found dead in her Victoria Street home on 3 April 2017.
A murder investigation, called Operation Gable, was launched under the direction of Senior Investigating Officer (SIO), DCI Alison Fossey. It lasted several months and prompted 7,000 hours of overtime for the police.
Mr Rebelo was charged in November, seven months after Ms Rebelo's death.
He is defended by Advocate Julian Gollop and will face a Royal Court trial between 20 and 31 August. A plea and directions hearing will take place on 6 June.
Mr Rebelo has been remanded in custody until the trial.
