DAY IN THE LIFE: Nicole Power, women's fitness coach

Friday 04 August 2023

Have you ever wondered what coaches do during the day? Do they spend their time in the gym or have normal lives like the rest of us? We asked one to share what a typical day looks like after the 06:00 alarm goes off...

Nicole Power (27) is an Online Women’s Fitness and Mindset coach.

She founded Npowerment 2020 out of her passion for “empowering women to reclaim health, control and confidence, all while enjoying their social life and having total food freedom!”

Between her business, her client appointments and going to the gym, she has shared a blow-by-blow of a day in her life, although she admitted no day looks the same!

“It is hard for me to pinpoint an exact day in the life, as many of my days look different,” she explained. “I love variety in my day, and feel grateful to be able to work remotely.”

06:00: Rise and shine!

I start my day at about 06:00. I intentionally aim to have at least an hour to myself, before starting work and checking emails etc. In this time I will meditate, journal, read and get ready for the day.

07:00-08:00: Time for work

I have one-on-one clients a few days a week, so I will be in the gym for a fun 45 minute session with my clients.

10:00: Getting my steps in

I am always finished in the gym with clients by 10:00, so I will aim to get a morning walk in to recharge myself, and feel inspired! Steps are huge priority for me, and immensely help with my productivity.

After steps, I make my way to a coffee shop somewhere in town to do my admin. My current fav coffee shop is Chordz in St. Helier!

11:00: Admin time

My admin time I will spend replying to my clients, checking emails, content planning and responding to new enquiries.

12:00-13:00: Lunch

I will have lunch between 12:00 and 13:00 at home (I try not to buy lunch out and save money where possible)!

Afternoon

My afternoons really vary! I’ll either do more admin, film content, some podcasting, have meetings, one-to-one sessions or spend time working on the business.

Recently, I have changed my workout schedule to be in the afternoon, which I am loving. So, once I have finished work, I will get myself to the gym for a full body session.

My workouts leave me feeling recharged which is great for any evening work, which usually entails sales calls or a one-to-one mindset session with my client.

19:00: Logging off

I try to set boundaries in the evening with my phone, and I am to be fully logged off work by 19:00

My evenings are then spent cooking, eating, walking my little puppy Rolo and spending quality time with my partner.

I feel grateful to love my job every day, and I’m so lucky to have such incredible clients. It of course comes with it challenges but I wouldn’t change a thing.
