Work on resurfacing the road from the top of the hill between St Martin and Gorey finally starts tomorrow.
TTS are resurfacing the hill from St Martin into Gorey and putting in diversions taking drivers via Hougue Bie or St Catherine's, which will mean long diversions for four weeks.
The resurfacing work was meant to start last week, but was put back after the landslide that brought down part of a property by Jeffrey's Leap on the coastroad.
The road will be closed on weekdays between 8.15 am to 6 pm.
DfI (formerly TTS) say the roadworks should be completed by 8 February.
If you want to avoid more traffic hold-ups, avoid the roadworks near Longueville Manor on Longueville Road today while DfI extend the sewer pipes. Temporary traffic lights are being set up but they are likely to cause hold ups for drivers coming from both La Rue des Pres and La Rue St Thomas especially at busy times of the day.
The work should finish early though, on Friday 22 January.
