Retailer working to sort out online delivery problems

Friday 28 November 2014

As Black Friday dawns, some Islanders have been struggling to get their Christmas shopping delivered to Jersey from online retailing giant Amazon.

A number of Islanders say they are having problems buying items from Amazon's UK site because the listings say they can't be shipped to the Channel Islands.

Amazon say they are now working to resolve the problem. A spokesperson for the company said: "Amazon delivers items across the whole UK including the Channel Islands. Customers in the Channel Islands are seeing incorrect information regarding delivery eligibility on a small number of products. We are working to fix this."

Jersey Post who deliver thousands of Amazon products around the Island say they are working with UK carriers to help get packet and parcel deliveries to the Island and are reminding people that there are other ways to ship your stuff over.

Around 4,000 Islanders are now signed up to their SecureDrop and Text & Collect parcel delivery services.

Ship2me.co.uk also helps deliver to the Channel Islands.
