Did you see little boy hit by cyclist?

Tuesday 17 November 2015

Police are appealing for witnesses after a little boy was knocked down by a cyclist who’d jumped the lights at the weekend.

The six year-old was crossing the road with his mum opposite Barros Tropical Bistro on Bath Street just before 7pm on Friday night when the cyclist rode through the red light and knocked him over.

The cyclist said sorry but didn’t stop and rode off towards David Place wearing a bright yellow reflective builder’s jacket, leaving the little boy with minor injuries.

Officers want to speak to the cyclist who had a foreign accent and a blond-haired lady who stopped and gave first aid to the little boy and they want anyone else who saw the accident to get in touch with them on 612612 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
