After helping to protect the Island's history for over 80 years, the National Trust for Jersey has started 2017 with a brand makeover.

The Trust says the rebrand will take some time to be fully introduced, but a newly designed logo, website, and magazine has already been launched.

The new Elm leaf logo provides a link to the National Trust for England, Wales and Northern Island, as their logo is an Oak leaf. It is also symbolic as the lobed leaf pattern is distinctly ‘Jersey’ and a nod to the Trust’s headquarters, ‘The Elms’, in St Mary.

Charles Alluto, Chief Executive of The National Trust for Jersey, said: “This was a big challenge for the Trust, as our previous logo has served us well and is much loved by our members and supporters. However, we were keen to ensure that the new logo easily identified and conveyed the work and purpose of the Trust, and in particular its crucial role in safeguarding heritage at risk, whether this be an elm tree or an historic building such as 16 New Street.

"None of this would have been possible without the considerable support and assistance of Indigo Lighthouse, who have worked tirelessly and on a pro bono basis to help us deliver this exciting new development.  Above all we would like to say a very big 'Thank You' to Julia Eynon and Alan Cox.”
