A man who went missing from a hospital in the UK has been found after a police operation that saw the public in Kent and Jersey urged not to approach him if sighted.
Glenn Mark Picot (34) left Maidstone Hospital in Kent at around 1.10 pm on Saturday and was found around 24 hours later.
Police in Kent and Jersey issued a full description of Mr Picot, describing him as vulnerable, and urging the public not to approach him if he was spotted. It was thought that he might have headed to the Island, because he has family here.
In a statement yesterday, the States of Jersey Police confirmed that he had been found "safe and well" and that he was back in the care of the hospital.
But when he went missing, Kent Police Inspector Jerry Prodger from the Local District Policing Team based at Maidstone Police Station said that they were increasingly concerned for his well-being.
He said: “Kent Police is growing increasingly concerned for Mr Picot’s welfare due to the fact that, while away from hospital, he is not getting the care he needs.
“We ask anyone who sees him to call the appeal line on 01622 604100 or email west.division.media.appeals@kent.pnn.police.uk quoting incident number 23-1093.”
