A mother and her two children had to be cut from their car in Jersey this morning, after a tree fell on them during the school run.
It happened just before 08:15 on La Rue de la Retraite in St.Saviour, and involved three cars, closing the road for several hours.
Rescue teams had to use hand saws, as well as battery-operated power tools to remove sections of the tree, and free the family, who fortunately weren't injured - they were all checked by paramedics at the scene.

The Fire Service says the tree was blown down by this morning's strong winds.
