Fire crews have brought a large-scale blaze in St. Brelade under control.
The fire near the parish church is understood to have broken out around 20:30.
It is understood that the fire was in the area of Les Creux/to the back of La Marquanderie.
Some St. Brelade residents said they could smell the smoke from their homes.
At least four fire vehicles were sent to the area, and managed to get the fire under control in around an hour.
While the operation was underway, they warned islanders to keep away from the area for their safety.
