A celebratory service marking the 100th birthday of a former Beaulieu headteacher has been postponed due to water and electrical damage to the church building where it was to be held.
The 100th birthday mass for Sister Marie Louise was scheduled to take place at St Mary and St Peter's Church on Friday 27 September from 18:30 to 19:30.
However, Beaulieu Convent School announced this afternoon that the service has been postponed due to "the severe weather and subsequent water and electrical damage" to the church building.

Over 300 people were expected to attend the celebration to mark the 100th birthday of Sister Marie Louise, who joined Beaulieu in 1958 as a teacher.
She later served as the head teacher for 39 years, overseeing the expansion of the school.
The mass was due to offer students and alumni the opportunity to reflect on her "incredible legacy" and "celebrate a lifetime of dedication and service".
Beaulieu apologised for the cancellation, and confirmed that a new date, time and location for the event will be confirmed as soon as possible.
