Monday 20 January 2020

A French rapper has admitted driving dangerously around Jersey whilst over the alcohol limit.

47-year-old Bertrand Olliver Le Goff, who raps under the name ‘BIG BRO’, admitted the charges in the Royal Court on Friday (17 January).

He is charged with two counts of driving a vehicle dangerously, one of failing to stop and report an accident as well as one of drink-driving.

The offences arose during a ‘road trip’ Le Goff took through the island on 12 and 13 October last year.

Le Goff was represented by Advocate Luke Sette, who indicated his client’s ‘guilty’ pleas to all four charges.

Deputy Bailiff Robert MacRae was presiding, accompanied by Jurats Charles Blampied and Gareth Hughes.

The Madagascan-born DJ was remanded in custody until his sentencing hearing on 21 February.
