Gov hunts consultants to draw up digital education "roadmap"

Monday 17 January 2022

The Government is on the hunt for consultants to support its digital strategy for schools and education.

The call for organisations to offer their services to help with a ‘Digital Education Strategy’ was put out last November, and closed last week.

The Government said it was looking for an "experienced partner to conduct a review of the quality and effectiveness of digital education across schools and colleges, evaluating the current position across a range of themes."

It added that this partner will produce a report of their findings, which should be "forward-looking, providing a prioritised and costed set of recommendations, with a proposed roadmap to deliver a visionary and aspirational Digital Education Strategy for Jersey."

The tender documents also said that they should compare the island to "best quality practice" from "world-renowned jurisdictions", so that "ambitious goals" can be set for Jersey's education system.

The contract and work would be estimated to start next month, with an end date of 30 September this year.

Express has asked the Government for further details on this project and is awaiting a response.
