Guineas pinched in pet shop robbery

Thursday 23 January 2020

Two guinea pigs have been pinched from the safety of their hutches in an early-hours raid of Pets Paradise, Police have said.

The Force is now investigating the rodent robbery, which took place on Monday (20 January), and is urging anyone with any information to come forward.

The glass of the pet shop door was smashed and the two pigs were taken.

One is described as being black and white and the other is white with red eyes.

The pets were pilfered between 02:45 and 03:45 from Pets Paradise, and it's suspected the thief dropped a number of pet harnesses in the children’s play area in People’s Park.

Any witnesses or those with more information about the incident is asked to contact Police on 01534 612612 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their online form.
