Could Henry Cavill be losing his superpowers for good? Rumours are flying about that Warner Bros are going to be parting ways with the actor.
The Jersey-born actor, who attended St. Michael's School, has played the role of Superman in three films, donning the blue suit in Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League.
But, according to Hollywood Reporter, Cavill could be on the way out.

Although Warner have not confirmed the story, it is believed they were trying to enlist him for a cameo appearance in 'Shazam!' - a film which is expected to be released later this year, but contract talks broke down due to scheduling issues which has now closed future doors for further superman appearances.
“While no decisions have been made in relation to any upcoming Superman films, we’ve always had great respect for and a great relationship with Henry Cavill, and that remains unchanged," Warner commented in a statement.
While there may be a divide in opinion over the circulating rumours, Hollywood Reporter quotes a "studio insider" who claims that there is “a recognition that some parts of the previous movies didn’t work,” and that Warner is trying to hit the reset button with the DC universe after some of their recent films fell short of expectation.

The news has attracted much commentary among both those in the industry and fans. Some critics feel his acting expertise could be used well in other roles, with Wolverine and James Bond being shouted from various corners of social media and the internet.
On the other hand, there are fans calling for him to stay put, but with nothing set in stone, everyone is still in the dark over the matter until an official statement is released.
