Islanders living on a housing estate near Beauport in St Brelade had some unexpected visitors at the weekend - some local livestock were trying to moooove in!
Just after breakfast on Saturday morning Sue Monks spotted something having a nosey through her window.
She said: “I was watching the television and caught a movement out of the corner of my eye and saw a cow peering in.”
But she wasn’t alone – two other Jerseys had wandered into the estate with her to have a good look around before deciding where to have their breakfast.
One of Sue’s neighbours managed to track down the farmer and about fifteen minutes later they were tempted away with a bucket of cattle feed and ambled off home with him.
Their fence's battery pack had been knocked over and was no longer live so the trio had made their escape to see whether the grass was greener on the other side.
