Jersey Arts Trust on hunt for new Chair

Sunday 13 November 2016

Jersey Arts Trust is looking for a new Chair to help promote the Island on the International arts scene.

They are the hunt for someone with a passion for the arts to join the Board of Trustees.

The Chairperson is a non-executive, honorary position with responsibility for providing effective strategic leadership to the Board and safeguarding to ensure that JAT achieves its mission and aims. He or she must have a successful record of leadership and have a clear affinity for the arts.

Tom Dingle, Director of the Jersey Arts Trust, said: “We have been extremely fortunate in having Alan as our Chairman for the past six years, and Trustee for three years before that. He has been unendingly supportive not only of our own programme and activities but also those of the Artists and groups that we have nurtured and grant funded in that time.

"Under Alan’s stewardship the Trust has been able to continuously grow and evolve to realise ever-more ambitious aims and support people more fully. We have exciting plans for the future, particularly exploring what Jersey can offer internationally, and will need a similarly active and experienced Chairperson to help us achieve them both artistically and in terms of fundraising.”

Anyone interested in applying for the role can email Mr Dingle here and send in a current CV along with a covering later outlining why they think they are suitable for the role and their reasons for applying.

Applications have to be in by Wednesday 30 November before interviews for the job on 6 and 7 December.
