Jersey racing driver James Walker will be on the legendary Silverstone circuit this Easter weekend after striking a late deal to take part in the European Le Mans Series races.
James is one of a three-man Greaves Motorsport team along with British drivers Tony Wells and James Littlejohn for the race which takes place on Saturday. Racing enthusiasts can follow it on Motor’s TV from 2.30 pm to 6.30 pm.
The Jersey-born driver has named Silverstone, the British Grand Prix circuit, as one of his favourite tracks, and said he couldn’t wait to get behind the wheel again.
James said: “I can’t wait to get back behind the wheel of an LMP2 car and return to Silverstone for the European Le Mans Series. Having won races in the ELMS in 2011 and 2012 when I was driving for the JMW Motorsport team in their Ferrari 458, it will be great to be back in the paddock and to catch up with some old friends.
“My 2013 season started in a similar way in the World Endurance Championship at Silverstone. Coming away with victory last year was fantastic so I am particularly looking forward to returning to this brilliant British circuit with my main aim being to repeat this result.
“I'm really looking forward to working with Tony and James. They had a great pre-season test last week at Paul Ricard, so I think we've got a fantastic line up. I also want to say a huge thank you to the entire Greaves Motorsport team for putting this deal together which allows me to join the team and be part of their success.”
