Jersey Bulls’ successful FA Cup run sadly came to an end yesterday after they were beaten 1-0 at home by Chertsey Town.
More than 1,600 people attended the game at Springfield, which kicked off at 15:00.
The Curfews took the lead 32 minutes in, with Bulls’ goalkeeper Euan Van der Vliet pulling off a save 11 minutes later to deny them a second goal.
Chertsey Town was back on the attack in the second half, which saw Van der Vliet use his feet and a strong left hand to ward off two more attacks from the visitors within three minutes in the 56th and 59th minute.
The Bulls made push after push but never managed to cut through.

Jay Giles made a strong effort to equalise with 20 minutes to go, but blasted wide.
In the 88th minute, Sol Solomon’s free kick landed with Kieran Lester, but his shot fired over the bar.
Four minutes later, Jake Prince made an attempt, but it was saved, and Bickley followed shortly after with a volley over the bar.
Jersey Bulls said on social media after the game: “Well played to the lads, they gave it everything they had!... Heads up and charge again!”
As well as thanking their "fantastic" home fans, they also thanked The Curfews for "making us work as hard as possible until the final whistle".
They added: "We wish you the best for the rest of your FA Cup run and the rest of the season."

The result brought to an end a thrilling FA Cup qualifying run, which saw their match against Sutton Common Rovers broadcast on national TV.
With the game ending in a draw, the Bulls were hoping that their opponents would join them at Springfield for a replay, but ended up having to return to Gander Green Lane as a result of rules dictating that midweek games can only be played offshore if both sides agree.
The Bulls called on the FA to review the rule.
Despite not having a home advantage for the replay, the team beat the Rovers 3-2.
Despite Sunday's drama, there's no time to relax - the Bulls’ next game takes place away tomorrow.
In the Combined Counties League Premier Divison South, they’ll be facing Badshot Lea FC at Westfield Lane.
