Charlie Parker, Chief Executive of the States of Jersey, will also attend the conference, along with Deborah McMillan, who was recently appointed as Jersey's first Children's Commissioner. 

Jersey's Chief Minister, Senator Ian Gorst will open the proceedings while Jersey Policy Forum Director Gailina Liew and Chair Brendan McMahon will co-moderate the conference. The event will also aim to engage delegates in facilitated discussions with a broad range of youth participants.

Commenting on this inaugural event, Brendan McMahon said: “The afternoon will provide a great opportunity to hear from these speakers and engage in discussion about issues that our community needs to confront and understand to create a better future together. We will hear about the conflict in values between the intellectual elite that value globalisation, mobility and education (the Anywhere tribe) and those that place higher value on identity, tradition and culture (the Somewhere tribe).

Gailina Liew added: “The youth participants will share their perspectives as students, residents, workers, community leaders and professionals. We will also explore what frameworks might help to set a course for an all-inclusive future where no-one is left behind.”
