Jersey Post apologises for sending wrong election information

Tuesday 21 June 2022

Jersey Post has apologised and sent a flyer to all 45,000 households to make islanders aware that they may have been delivered incorrect election candidate information.

Some households did not receive the correct Vote.je candidate manifesto booklet for the constituency that they live in.

Jersey Post says it is carrying out a full investigation to find out how this has occurred.

Islanders are now being encouraged to check their constituency, find the full list of candidates they can vote for and the polling station specific to their address on Vote.je.

All Post Offices will also have someone on hand tomorrow (Election Day) to help confused individuals identify their constituency and find all the information they need to vote.

Head of Digital and Public Engagement, Jenny O’Brien, said it was “disappointing” that the wrong information had been sent out.

“…Our priority now is ensuring that all Islanders are made aware of this issue and know how to find the information they need to vote in tomorrow’s election,” she added.
