Jump in the air for a good cause

Sunday 28 January 2018

Interested in trying your hand at some aerial silks, flipping about in a hoop, net or trapeze, or just generally hanging upside down? Aerialantics have just the thing for you: the club is holding an open day today from 11:00 to 15:00 at the New Airport Cargo Centre.

Members of the public of all ages and abilities are welcome to come and have a go with all proceeds from the the day going to five local charities.

The event will include performances from aerialist Hayley Wray, a firefighter at Ports of Jersey Airport Rescue & Fire Fighting Service and also a recent ‘Ninja Warrior UK’ finalist along with the rest of the team.

Hayley Wray is a fully-insured instructor with years of aerial experience and coaching. She spent two seasons working on the largest youngsters' circus camp in New York training youngsters on aerial arts and floor acts to perform in full length circus shows every three weeks.

A fire tender will also be on display along with an animal ambulance.

The fundraiser day will also give visitors the opportunity to win prizes such as the “Strong man or woman”, or in raffles and tombolas.
