It’ll be drinks by candlelight at one of the Island’s top hotels this weekend.
The Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa is going green and turning off the lights in the Champagne Lounge on Saturday night for Earth Hour.
Earth Hour is the world's biggest annual celebration of the planet and the Hotel will be joining a host of others across the UK to support the environment when they switch off the lights at 8.30 pm.
The Hotel’s General Manager Martin Kelly said: “We’re proud to support this initiative which will help raise awareness of global environmental issues and remind us all that together we can help influence change.
“We’ll be amongst thousands of hotels and restaurants across the UK who will all be joining forces and turning lights out this Earth Hour.”
The Hotel has been looking at other ways of going green and is putting in automated lighting systems to save energy.
